Event Announcement: SentiMETAL Gathering Cape Town 18 October

SentiMETAL Gathering

The wait is over! The first SentiMETAL Gathering since March this year is scheduled for Sunday, 18 October at the Killarney Raceway in Cape Town.

"We're thrilled to again host some of the Cape's most beautiful machines at the Killarney Raceway," says Hannes Oosthuizen, SentiMETAL project head. "Our last event, held just prior to the Covid19-related Lockdown came into effect, saw an incredible variety of cars show up, with anything from a 1944 Willys Jeep to a current Roush-tuned Mustang in attendance."

The event is free, but registration is required. Please complete this form should you wish to attend. "As any previous SentiMETAL Gathering attendee will tell you, these events are really relaxed, and more like a chilled cars-'n-coffee meet for likeminded petrolheads," Oosthuizen says. The event is aimed at classic cars of all genres (including modern classics).

Participants can start arriving at Killarney from 9am (use the Go-Kart gate) and the aim is to have all the cars parked on the grid by 10am. Refreshments will be sold on the day and the SentiMETAL shop will be there, too, with its latest merchandise.

As an outdoor event taking place under Level 1 of Lockdown, a maximum of 500 people will be allowed. A short COVID19-related health form will have to be completed upon arrival, in addition to a quick temperature check (of the driver and passengers, not the car!).

For any further information get in touch with Hannes Oosthuizen (hannes@cars.co.za).

Here's the link again, should you wish to register your attendance.

  • Do you have the all clear from Killarney?
As far as I know, no spectators are allowed.
Does that mean that only the drivers + car may attend?
