A first-of-its-kind 4x4 racing spectacle is happening in the Western Cape this weekend. The Gravel Kings Drag Festival brings together high horsepower 4x4s, fierce competition, and a festival atmosphere.

There is also the opportunity to witness the most powerful Nissan Patrol in South Africa! The Patrol in question pushes out over 800 kW and over 1700 Nm of torque, which should set loads of rocks and dust flying!
Gravel Kings takes place at an all-new venue near Worcester, perfectly suited for high-performance machines that need space to unleash their full power. The custom-built gravel strips have been meticulously prepped for traction, safety, and high-speed action, with long run-off zones to accommodate the beasts taking the track. Expect precise speed and time recordings to keep the competition fierce and fair.
According to the organisers, visitors should expect epic racing and fun festival vibes. The schedule is as follows;
Saturday – Practice qualifying drag runs, where competitors battle for a spot in the finals.
Sunday – The ultimate showdown, as the fastest machines from Saturday’s qualifiers race for glory!
