When it comes to American muscle cars, the Pontiac GTO is one of the all-time favourites. While it is the first-generation car that usually attracts the headlines, smartly customised examples of the second-generation car (as shown here), has grown rapidly in popularity and value. 

This gold beauty has been the subject of a ground-up restoration and certainly turns heads wherever it goes. This is not only because of its stunning exterior (gold paint, massive 20-inch wheels) but also because you will hear it before you see it. The combination of a 7.5L V8 engine with a new stainless steel exhaust system produces that addictive V8 burble.

Furthermore, brand new shocks have been fitted and all the suspension bushes have been replaced. The front brakes have been overhauled by Summit Brake & Steering. 

Inside, the only item that hasn't been replaced or significantly improved is the original dashboard, which has a very small crack. Otherwise, it presents as a new car!
