The C107-genereation of Mercedes-Benz's fixed-head Coupe is a bit of an anomaly in the Three-Pointed star's long and illustrious model line. It was based on the platform of the R107 SL, and produced from 1971 to 1981 (also in South Africa). 

Of course, its replacement was the coupe version of the W126 which debuted in 1981, making the C107 the only "S-Class Coupe" ever based on stretched a SL roadster platform, and not the larger S-Class sedan. 

This example

This striking blue 450 SLC was first registered in 1979, but its interior trim is in '80s spec Velour. The rear seat has a slight tear in the fabric, and the dashboard has an even smaller crack. It is fitted with air-conditioning and a sunroof.

Its carpets are in exceptional condition and the exterior paintwork is in very good nick. The car has a partial service history with recent maintenance invoices totaling R70k. Like most Mercedes models from this era, it shrugs off its high mileage and drives beautifully.
