Introduced in 1991 and retired in 1995, the Porsche 968 was the final chapter in a story that actually begin (shakily) nearly 2 decades earlier, with the marque's 924 (initially destined to be an Audi). The 924 eventually evolved into the critically acclaimed 944 and then, finally, Porsche performed a significant re-engineering job to develop the 968, which actually shares only 20% of its parts with the 944.
The 968 was styled by Harm Lagaay, who carefully evolved the 944 design into something very striking, and much more contemporary. Under its long bonnet is a 3.0L 4-cylinder that developed a strong 177kW, and in this instance the power goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. So, it's a proper driver's car, then.
This beautiful red 1994 example has done just about 200 000km, but has aged like fine red wine (the 968 was always highly regarded for its build quality). It also boasts a full service history.
