Introduced late in 2005, the Z06 was developed using lessons learned with the C5.R endurance racing car. The Z06's development was also the starting point for the creation of the C6.R, again illustrating how deep the racing pedigree runs in these iconic sportscars.

The Z06 is powered by a 7.0L (yes!) small-block V8 engine that develops 505 hp (around 377kW) and which features a racing-inspired dry-sump, titanium connecting rods and intake valves and a delicious 7000 rpm red line. These engines were hand-built in a bespoke engine plant in Michigan. Oh, and the engine engine is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission sending all that power to the rear wheels...

This example

This superb 2007 example has had only two owners thus far and it has a mere 15 500 miles on the odo. It has always been garaged and all paperwork is in order.

It comes with heated leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and premium Bose sound system with a six-disc CD changer, satellite navigation, and an XM satellite radio system. Additional features are the heads-up display and the keyless entry and starting feature.
